Habitat 67, an inspiring visit

2018 - 10 - 23

FOR. design planning and Simard Architecture took the time to recharge their batteries and to get inspired with a guided tour of the Habitat 67 complex.

Created in the 1960s by Moshe Safdie on the occasion of the 1967 Universal Exposition, we discover that this architectural icon is only a fraction of a project which was intended to be monumental and which involved multiple services (school, grocery store, shops etc.). Nevertheless, its volumetry of rectangular prisms has inspired many architects all around the world.
